There's more to cleaning than what meets the eye...

Do you ever wonder what goes on when everyone leaves the office at 5 pm each night? Although many company's may look like they are doing a thorough job cleaning your workplace, have you ever stopped to examine what exactly they are using to clean?

Living in a high-rise condominium, I see the "behind-the-scenes" of what goes on, and it really does urk me to no end. I've seen chemical bottles unmarked and left on the floor, and I've seen dirty mops being used on carpet. I guess if I never worked for a cleaning company, I wouldn't be so disturbed by these gestures, but I do, so I am. With every facility on a budget, it is difficult to explain to potential customers sometimes that although it may look clean, the bacteria and allergens that your employees, customers, and clients are exposed to may not be being eliminated. This is a direct result of the improper cleaning practices that are being done when your back is turned. We all need to remember that just because we can't see what we are breathing in, doesn't mean it is not harmful to our health. Next time you see your facility's cleaning company, check out their equipment and just watch them physically CLEAN. If you're not satisfied, SAY SOMETHING!

Happy Cleaning!
